2003-04 OUTLOOK

After two years of hard work, should be on track this season to give USC measurable minutes in games … Expect him to contribute more, play more and be a more integral part of the regular rotation this year … An extremely hard worker in the weight room, he gained 14 pounds during the off-season while improving his bench press from 265 pounds to 305 pounds as he squatted 330 pounds … He also made a significant gain in his hang clean where he improved from 208 pounds to 257 pounds, the third highest on the team ... An excellent student, he carries a 3.895 grade point average into his junior year ... South Carolina’s first player since Brad Jergenson (1981-84) from the state of Wisconsin … His father, Len, was the first consensus All-American at Wake Forest in 1962 and led the Demon Deacons to the NCAA Final Four.

2002-03

Averaged 0.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per game ... Reserve center who worked hard to earn additional playing time ... Played in 13 games, starting one ... Averaged 4.2 minutes per contest, playing double figure minutes vs. Kentucky and at Florida ... Playing in nine SEC games, averaged 0.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game ... One of his top games was when he came off the bench at Georgia to score 5 points with 5 rebounds in 4 minutes ... At Alabama, played 3 minutes with 1 rebound ... Played 11 minutes at Florida, collecting 3 rebounds ... Tallied 1 block and 1 rebound against Clemson, Mississippi State, The Citadel and South Carolina State ... Played 5 minutes in Clemson win, shooting 1 of 2 from the free throw line ... Started his first career game, with 1 rebound in 6 minutes at LSU ... Came off the bench and played well against Kentucky, as he picked up 3 rebounds, 1 point, 1 assist, 1 block in 12 minutes ... Saw time late vs. Temple, scoring 2 points and grabbing 2 rebounds in 2 minutes of action.

2001-02

Averaged 0.4 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.2 blocked shots per game … Did not score in four SEC games ... Saw action in a backup role at center behind Tony Kitchings and Marius Petravicius ... Played in 18 games, seeing action in a pair of NIT contests and in the upset win over Kentucky in the SEC Tournament ... Had a pair of steals and a rebound in four minutes of action vs. Ball State in the NIT quarterfinals ... Had his best career games in back-to-back contests vs. Charleston Southern and Mercer in December ... Had three points (1-of-2 field goals) with three rebounds, a blocked shot and an assist while playing a career-high 15 minutes vs. Charleston Southern ... Had a career-high four points (2-of-2 free throws) with five rebounds, three blocks and a steal against Mercer ... Also saw 11 minutes of action (one point) in the season-opening victory over Chaminade in Maui ... Had seven steals in just 74 total minutes on the court, and when factored over a 40-minute game, had the team’s best steals figure at 3.8.
