FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas receiver Joe Adams met with doctors in Little Rock on Wednesday and has been cleared for “full participation,” according to Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino.

Petrino made the announcement during his radio show, Bobby Petrino Live, on Wednesday night.

Adams has missed three straight games after suffering a “minor stroke” in the week before the 44-23 win against Auburn on Oct. 10. The sophomore has practiced for the past week.

It’s not clear if the news means Adams will play against Eastern Michigan on Saturday night. Petrino was not available for further comment.

However, the Razorbacks have remained hopeful regarding Adams’ status since the stroke.

“He ran some routes (Tuesday) in our individual route period and looked good,” offensive coordinator Paul Petrino said after Tuesday’s practice. “I’m just going to stay positive and keep pumping him up. He’s feeling good. And just whatever they tell us, that’s what we’ll go with.”

Adams’ return would be a boost to Arkansas’ passing offense. The Little Rock native led the Razorbacks in receiving through four games with 16 catches for 315 yards and two touchdowns.
