Offensive Line — B

The Morning News/Razorback Central

Dominant offensive lines have been a staple at Arkansas, and the front line has managed to hold its own despite replacing three starters from last season.

With center Jonathan Luigs in the middle and two new offensive tackles, the Razorbacks have given up only six sacks in six games. The 1.0 sack-per-game average ties Arkansas for 10th nationally in that category.

But the offensive line couldn’t grind out that one first down needed to run out the clock against Alabama. The front line has also had trouble over the past two games opening holes for running backs Darren McFadden and Felix Jones.

Arkansas still has the nation’s No. 3 rushing offense, averaging 293.2 yards per game. But the offensive line had trouble holding its blocks against Auburn. The result: Only 67 yards rushing in the loss.
