Calipari Not Interested In Arkansas Job

Memphis coach John Calipari told CBSSportsline.com and The Memphis Commercial Appeal on Sunday that he was not interested in Arkansas' basketball coaching position.

He told the media outlets that he met briefly with Arkansas Athletic Director Frank Broyles over the weekend in Atlanta, but that he was never offered the job. Calipari said the meeting was only to discuss potential candidates and offer advice on the coaching search. Sources close to both basketball programs told The Morning News on Saturday that Calipari had, in fact, been offered the job. Calls seeking comment from Broyles were not returned Sunday.
