North Little Rock wide receiver K.J. Hill - a prime Arkansas recruiting target - said Tuesday night that he will announce his college choice on Friday night at around 6 p.m.

Arkansas is hoping to get a big boost to its football future the night before the 2014 season starts with its game at Auburn.

North Little Rock wide receiver K.J. Hill (6-1, 190) – one of the two uncommitted four-star prospects left in the state - announced Tuesday night after his team's scrimmage with Conway that he will announce his college choice known on Friday night at around 6 p.m.

Hill was last season's Arkansas Democrat Gazette Player of the Year in the state after catching 83 passes for 1,210 yards and 20 touchdowns while piling up 2,071 all-purpose yards and finding the end zone 26 times overall.

He has previously announced plans to take official visits to his final five schools Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Oregon and Notre Dame.

Arkansas has made Hill a priority recruit, sending all five offensive coaches to a scrimmage he had at War Memorial Stadium and recently hosting both he and Dumas tight end Will Gragg during a recent scrimmage.

Gragg, who is good friends with Hill is the other four-star uncommitted recruit in the state and has mentioned wanting to play for the same school as his buddy.

Both prospects attended The Opening in Oregon - Nike's prestigious camp - and both have Arkansas and Alabama on their lists.

Gragg also lists Texas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and LSU in his final six.
