Carr plans to visit Arkansas this fall
The three-star running back has offers from more than 10 schools, including SEC foes Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
While he has not taken any visits this summer, Carr has been participating in 7-on-7 and honing his skills with The Woodlands.
“I’ve been busy with working out and getting back into the groove,” Carr said. “I was going to take some visits, but I’ve been on vacation.”
When the Razorbacks offered him, Carr was intrigued by their history of producing great running backs, which prompted ESPN to name Arkansas “Running Back U.”
“That is very interesting,” Carr said. “That means I’ll get to run the ball a lot, which will help me.”
Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema’s history of coaching star running backs at Wisconsin also excites the 5-foot-8, 188-pound Carr.
“He has a great background,” Carr said. “I’ll have an opportunity to get the ball in my hands and actually play instead of at a school where it’s pass, pass, pass.”
The Razorbacks currently have only one running back commitment for the class of 2015: Rawleigh Williams at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas.
Other uncommitted running back targets in the class of 2015 from Texas include four-star Tyreik Gray (Lamar High in Houston), three-star Charles West (Coppell High) and Braeden West (Seven Lakes High in Katy).
