Colin Poche struck out six batters in four innings Tuesday, setting the tone for the Arkansas pitching staff in a 6-0 win over Mississippi Valley State at Baum Stadium.

The Razorbacks (18-7) used four pitchers, allowing only two hits in their fourth straight win. Trey Killian and Trent Daniel each pitched two innings, and Chris Oliver pitched the ninth inning of Arkansas' fifth shutout this season.

Arkansas used several reserve players against the Delta Devils (3-22) following a three-game sweep of South Carolina over the weekend. Replacing Jake Wise at catcher, Jean Ramirez had a career-high three hits.

Ramirez scored the game's first run after a third inning single. Arkansas extended its lead in the fourth on a Dominic Ficociello solo home run and Isaac Hellbusch two-out RBI double.

Brett McAfee, who had two hits, scored in the fifth on a Joe Serrano sacrifice fly. The Razorbacks scored two more in the seventh after Ramirez led off the inning with a double and scored on a fielder's choice. Tyler Spoon added a RBI double later in the inning to score Jordan Farris.

Arkansas recorded nine hits in the win. The Razorbacks have at least eight hits in 11 of their last 12 games.

The teams will play again Wednesday at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock.
