was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week Monday as named by the league office in Birmingham.
Coleman, from Thibodaux, La., who joined the Tigers from Howard College this season, has scored in double figures each of the last four games and again came off the bench to score 14-of-his-18 points in the second half as he helped the Tigers rally from 16 points down in the second half to defeat Seton Hall, 72-67, last Thursday night in the SEC-BIG EAST Challenge.
The Tigers trailed by eight points at the half and twice trailed by 16 points, the last with 16:30 to play. LSU went to a press that caused Seton Hall multiple problems as LSU was able to outscore Seton Hall 40-19 the rest of the way.
The 6-5, 195-pound forward also grabbed six rebounds and three steals in the contest. He has recorded double doubles against McNeese State (25 pts-10 reb.) and Mississippi Valley (16 pts-11 reb.). For the season, Coleman is averaging 30.4 minutes a game, making 35-of-62 field goals (56.5%), 4-of-8 treys while averaging 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Coleman scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half during LSU’s rally from 16 points down. He has four consecutive games in double figures with two double doubles. Three of his four double figure games came while coming off the bench. For the season averaging 30.4 minutes a game, making 35-of-62 field goals (56.5%), 4-of-8 treys, averaging 17.4 points and 7.6 rebounds.
Coleman is fifth in the SEC in scoring average, 10th in rebound average and fifth in field goal percentage.
