Jones Talks About Official Visit To Mizzou

The Missouri Tigers hosted one of their 2013 verbal commitments, Donovahn Jones, over the weekend for their game against Syracuse. Jones tells ShowMeMizzou.com about his visit and recruitment.

This past weekend, the Missouri Tigers hosted an official visitor in 2013 WR prospect Donovahn Jones  6'3"  195  4.45  Hampton (GA) Dutchtown, who has been verbally committed to Mizzou for more than two months.

On his way home, Jones spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his visit, and updated us on his recruitment.

"My visit was nice,"  said Jones.  "This wasn't my first visit to Missouri, but it was my first time coming to a game.  I was real excited about it!  I just can't wait to get there and be a part of the program."

Jones said of Missouri that his parents "love it too".

While on his visit, Jones was able to spend time with a number of Missouri players, including Chaston Ward, Donavin Newsom, Torey Boozer, Rickey Hatley, and L'Damian Washington.

Jones said that he sat in on the wide-receiver meetings, and sat next to T.J. Moe  and Dorial Green-Beckham.

"It was nice,"  said Jones.  "It was kind of nice to get that experience.  I didn't realize that Dorial Green-Beckham was that big."

Jones talked about the loss to Syracuse.

"We had that game won,"  said Jones, the frustration evident in his voice.

"I knew that it was nice, from my visit this summer,"  explained Jones, continuing to talk about his official visit to Missouri.  "This time, I got to see the dorms, and meet all of the coaches."

"The players seemed like they just welcomed me in,"  said Jones, speaking of his future teammates.

He said that he's solidly committed to Missouri, and that he doesn't have any current plans to take any other visits.   Jones is looking forward to signing with Missouri in February, and he expects to begin taking classes at Missouri in June.
