Arkansas Set To Ink Trio
The Razorbacks are set to sign Birmingham Central Park small forward Jacorey Williams (6-8, 190), Shreveport (LA) Huntington Michael Qualls (6-5, 200) and Memphis (TN) Bartlett shooting guard Anthlon Bell (6-3, 180).
Williams is set to sign at 10 a.m., Qualls at 11 and Bell at 3 p.m. with Mike Anderson's Razorback program.
All will add length at their positions to a program that is not blessed with an abundance of it right now."
"When you have five players to get…we have got to get some size," Anderson said. "It is very evident even as we played in the exhibition games. That is still our mindset. We have got to zero in on some guys that can come in and give us some size and play the way we want to play."
Arkansas is one of five schools that waits on the choice of Memphis Southwind power forward Jarnell Stokes (6-9, 245).
Stokes is a five-star prospect and ranked among the top 20 nationally by Scout.com.
He has visited Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, Memphis and Kentucky, where he went last weekend.
Stokes is still waiting to hear about his eligibility at Southwind this season after transferring.
He did play for the Jaguars in a scrimmage Tuesday night at the Fed Ex Forum – the home of the Memphis Tigers and NBA Memphis Grizzlies.
Stokes had 25 points unofficially.
